The PMI Measure Malaria project
- Funding ceiling of $35.9 million over five years
- Funded by the U.S. President’s Malaria Initiative (PMI) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID)
- Ran from June 2019 to September 2023
Aim
- Strengthen country-level capacity to collect, analyze, and use routine malaria health data
- Improve country-level ability to manage health information systems (HIS) to serve malaria needs
- Adapt and develop tools for these ends and share among malaria stakeholders the approaches needed and gains made
Led by
The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC), through the Carolina Population Center (CPC), in partnership with ICF Macro Inc. (ICF); John Snow, Inc. (JSI); Palladium International, LLC; and Tulane University. UNC drew on the technical expertise that exists in each organization and an extensive network of in-country organizations in PMI priority countries
